Stacy Figueroa, Kevin Figueroa, and Shane Johnson are all headed to Bullhead City the first week of Feb. 09 to attend the 22nd annual Fire and Life Characterization Conference.  Stacy and Kevin are both Members of AFBEA (Arizona Fire and Burn Educators Assoc.) Stacy is on the conference committee and is nominated for conference chair for 2010.  They both have been attending and learning from this conference for 13 yrs now. They have performed out there 4 different times and 3 years ago they began teaching at the conference to others attending, wishing to learn to teach in the clown format.
 
This year they will be performing a 30 min program.  Stacy will be teaching 4 separate classes, is in charge of all new attendees, and will be shadowing the current Chair.  Kevin is assisting to teach two of classes and will be leading one of the groups with new attendees assigned to him.  Shane is attending for the first time ever.  Shane has been a long time volunteer to the Pine-Strawberry safety clowns and has now be asked to join the group. 
 
Some of the session they will teach this year are, PROPER SAFETY MESSAGES, QUICK-FIRE FIGHTER PROOF CLOWN MAKE-UP, IMPROV IN YOUR SAFETY PROGRAM, AND REPATITION IN THE PROGRAMS FOR LITTLE KIDS.
