LIVE BURN TRAINING |

The live fire drill was a special training for us here at PSFD. We contracted a professional instructor from out of state to come in and look through our burn building and give us safer suggestions and ideas on how to complete it and conduct our live trainings. 12 full time fire fighters from our dept. took his two day class and received a certificate of completion and are now the districts first group of instructors for our building. This group of 12 will also be working together to finish the policy and procedures, SOG's, and all the burn plans and evolutions, so that all the instructors will always be on the same page and teaching the same things.
Our goal here in the near future is to be able to open the building up for outside use, to be able to host other departments that aren't fortunate enough to have their our burn building. They can venture out our way and be trained on fire behavior and get several single and multi-company fire attack drills in by our, in house, instructors. Watch for updates.
